A Legacy of Innovation

For over 30 years, Zelra, formerly TTG, has collaborated with UniSA to develop the Energymiser algorithm, the core of our Driving Advice System (DAS) and Connected Driving Advice System (CDAS). This partnership combines academic rigor with industry expertise to enhance train performance globally.

Cutting-Edge research in train performance

Led by Professor Peter Pudney, UniSA’s Scheduling and Control Group collaborates with Zelra’s R&D team to develop physics-based solutions using optimal speed profile methodologies. This research enables our DAS to consider a broader set of variables, outperforming basic systems.

Recognised excellence

Our collaborative efforts have earned prestigious accolades, including the Australian Export Award, Premier’s NSW Export Award, and the Australian Rail Industry Award. In 2023, the Australian Research Council granted new funding to support our ongoing innovative collaboration.
