The Journey to Net Zero industry paper featuring Zelra DAS case study

The Australian Railway Association, Infrastructure Sustainability Council, and Roads Australia have created The Journey to Net Zero, an industry paper assessing the Australian transport sector’s goal to achieve net zero.

The paper includes 46 best practice recommendations to accelerate decarbonisation and features 29 case studies demonstrating existing technology and strategies for carbon reduction.

Zelra’s Driving Advice System (DAS) is referenced as a tool that allows Australian and global rail operators to reduce energy consumption, related emissions, and fuel costs through simple driving advice for drivers. In this industry paper Zelra is referred to by our previous name, Trapeze Rail. A case study of our implementation of DAS for KiwiRail showcases how the operator recorded a 13.5% fuel reduction saving, and a 10% reduction in fuel costs, since implementing DAS.
